-27-

I was going to write about some things that happened last week (like the book), but I don't have that much time, so I'll just write about today's workshop.

Today's workshop was pretty calming one also. I got all of my sculpture paper-mache'd (except for a small spot on the bottom). I guess I should start to think about what colors I should use. The swords and weapons are going to be obviously grey/metal colored, but maybe I'll paint the glass shards different colors (or maybe, is there a way to make it transparent...?)
The ball. I'm still thinking about what it represents/how to color it (the color depends on what it represents, so the two almost go hand-in-hand). I'm thinking maybe I should go with the world idea, but I also have an idea of the ball representing the wrath pent up inside you, and the weapons/sharp things sticking into/out of it are experiences that "break open" the ball releasing your wrath onto whatever comes your way....
About the documentary....the clan sort-of forgot about it. I'll have to remind myself to bring a picture-taking device to the next workshop, and we all need to talk about how we're going to document this.
That's all for now.

  1. I think that you don't need to know how the ball should look. You need to FIND how the ball should look. Does that make sense? Work intuitively, not intellectually. So far the ball has been moving along wonderfully, let it continue that. Simply build it and make it.

  2. I agree with Luke about working intuitively...you seem to have had a good idea of what this ball is...let it emerge...
