Today was the first workshop with Margaret DeLima. She's a really nice person. She was very friendly and wanted to get to know us, and what we usually work on. (She also really liked the fact that we were all keeping blogs.)
I don't think I'd ever guess that we'd be working on the 7 Deadly Sins. Today we brainstormed on what how we were going to represent them (or one of them). I came up with a few ideas, like using hands or eyes, or some sort of parody on how today's society does the opposite of the Sins, but ends up being hurt (like instead of gluttony, people aren't eating at all). I look forward to the next session, and when we get to start working with paper mache! I haven't worked with it since the fifth grade, and I remember that it was fun to work with, but a challenge to get your finished product to be smooth so it could be painted on...
I may upload some scans of the ideas, but later.
Good. This will be a great workshop for you.
