Since I was put into the art group, I suppose I should expect to be "a better artist" at the end of this workshop.
It sounds really vague, so what I meant is that I'm looking forward to experimenting with different mediums, or using familiar mediums in different ways (like using paper in ways that aren't the traditional "just draw on it" way of using it...doing something with it like sculpting). I'm pretty sure that we'll be doing this since Margaret DeLima mentioned that she uses paper, but also photography and some digital programs for her art (maybe we'll be doing puppets, or something about self-discovery since that seems to be what she is currently interested in).

Side note: When I was looking on her site, on the links page, I found the blog of the project A Fitting Experience. I was reading some of the tags, and it was really interesting what was said on them.

I forgot to post last week, whoops! It was a pretty quiet week anyways. I missed the video shown in class, since I was out sick, but I'd like to get the name of it if anyone remembers what it is.

Midterms week! I need to learn how to study the right way...I'm a little sad that there's no STAC this week, since I'm looking forward to watching the last episodes of The Prisoner (Luke said that they're all good ones)! I'm also falling a little behind on my daily practice but I hope to catch up on them this week.

This week was quite the busy one, with everyone getting ready for STAC live!

During STAC live, when the music video came on, I realize how hard it was to film it. Before STAC, when it was shown at STAC night, I thought it was cool, but that it didn't look that difficult to do. Now, after having more experience in filming, I can see all of the work put into it.

STAC live went well. I hope that the audience thought that the fact that people were running "in and out of the screen" was cool, like how I thought when we watched "A Brief Encounter". I was nervous about dancing in front of a lot of people, but it felt better than if I had to do a solo (or something along those lines).
The show felt shorter than a period, but I guess time flies when having fun!

(Will add on to this post as the week goes on.)

I wanted to quickly write this...
There's a movie about Klimt! Wow...
My dad came home with some DVDs to watch, and as I was looking through them, I saw one of them titled "Klimt". I thought the name was familiar, and after a few minutes, it hit me. It was a movie about Gustav Klimt!
I haven't seen it yet, but I hope to sometime later this week/weekend. I'm not sure if I can bring it in, if anyone would want to watch it in class, since it's from the library. and I'm not sure what it's rated (I looked at the box, but I didn't see any rating).
---

The commercial is finally finished! It took a bit to edit, and we were having problems adding subtitles, but it's done! I hope it gets accepted and aired.

Now, onto STAC live. I think it's a neat that we're using the idea of interacting with the screen. That was my favorite part of the play, and if we pull it off, it's going to look amazing!
I was a little hesitant on doing the dancing part, but Angel is really nice and the dance steps aren't too hard, so I'm starting to like going to the community center and practicing!

The only thing I'm worried about STAC-wise is that I'm falling behind on my daily practice this week...but I'll just catch up on them today and/or tomorrow.

My mom found this channel on our TV that played shows/music from Japan, and one came up that was very interesting...
The art is very roy lichtenstein-inspired. I was reminded of how europeans were inspired by asian art in Art Nouveau, and now western art is influencing asia!
